Designed by Gene Bates and Fred Couples, the 6902 yard, par 74 course has 5 tees. This course uses seashore paspalum grass on the fairways. With carefully placed bunkers, lagoons and desert rough, the course challenges all levels of players making an exciting golfing experience. A very attractive and varied links course, it has a wonderful wide open aspect which is sometimes very challenging with the varied wind currents which can come directly from the sea. A good course to walk. The Terrace Grasshopper Bar provides light snacks and drinks in the clubhouse. The Fitness Club facilities offer a well-equipped gym, plunge pools, massage, sauna and Turkish bath. Adjoining the course is the excellent, highly recommended Steigenberger hotel with lovely rooms overlooking the course. There is regular hotel transport to El Gouna with all the attractions for the family there.
