Opened in 1997, the18 holes par 72 championship course measuring 6585 yards with 4 tees was designed by American architect Sanford and Associates. There is also a 3 hole short game area here. This excellent course has Bermuda grass, 18 man-made lakes, 1250 trees including date palms, Jerusalem thorns, California fan palms, Hong Kong orchids and Flames of the Forest. Some consider this course to have the best greens in Egypt. The course has a dramatic mountain, sea and desert setting. A large Clubhouse has the 19th Hole Restaurant and Bar and a well stocked pro-shop. As well as the Movenpick there are many luxury 5 star hotels to choose from in the very large tourist resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
